Donald And DeLaet, Both Shares The Lead At RBC Heritage

For Graham DeLaet playing at Harbor Town Golf Links is more than just playing the golf here.

Actually, he loves playing here, but the sad part is he has rarely got the results that he envisages for until this week.

DeLaet followed up his best career 6-under 65 in the first round of the event with a 67 on Friday and shared the lead with Luke Donald at the RBC Heritage.

On the course, Donald too shot 67 to reach 10-under 132, which was two in front of Webb Simpson and Ian Poulter.

Speaking about his performance Donald said,”This is not like this is the first time; I have been in this position in this event. I have been in the same position before as well. Now I know and I have to move out of this position by being more aggressive and make some birdies. Playing for pars at this position won’t work here.” (more…)


It is said that quitters never win and winners never quit, this is the story of Luke Donald who admitted he almost quit the game of golf after series of losing years but he was encouraged to move ahead after series of advice.

Today he is ranked among the top 80 in the same game he almost quit some years ago.

One thing is to pronounce the word and another thing is to work with it. Luke Donald worked harder by training more and dedicating his time for the game. Today he can say he is getting his game back due to series of wins he has encountered during the course of the year.

The English golfer who is about 75kg in weight has being ranked high recently, credited to the series of wins he was involved in. Having seven professional wins in the sport has being one of the reasons he was ranked among the best worldwide and 154th at the Race to Dubai tour. (more…)

Luke Donald Hosted British Master

Luke Donald hosted a British master event this year and witnessed attendance of 1, 10,000 and this has revived the hope in Duke that an event like this will bring back the charm of golf in England once again.

The euphoria of golf in England has decreased tremendously these days. Even the organizers are not showing interest in holding event in place.

There are just two tours scheduled in place for the entire year. However, after watching the turnout of audience at a British master event, Luke Donald is hopeful that this type of events will regenerate people’s interest in the game.

Donald said “It is nice that this event is in Rota, events like this will only ring back golf charm in England. This is a successful event and it is not like this has happened only this year. Last year too, the tournament was big one has witnessed same number of crowed.” (more…)

Luke Donald to play Irish Open

Luke Donald would be reportedly playing at Irish Open 2015. He and US Open champ Martin Kaymer are two latest top names to fill the Irish Open roster that is about to start come May.

Apart from Kaymer, Luke would be joined by Sergio Garcia, Rickie Fowler, Ernie Els & world # 1 Rory McIlroy in Royal County Down ground.

Rory’s charitable foundation would be hosting this event & the golf champ has coaxed some of the best golf stars to fight for the trophy. The Irish Open is dated to start on 28th of May and would conclude on 31st of the month. The notable participants of the event are Lee Westwood from America and Patrick Reed from America.

Besides, the field would include the major winners such as Darren Clarke, Graeme McDowell & Padraig Harrington. This year will mark the twenty fourth Irish Open for Clarke who has triumphed at a Major & a couple of WGC titles across his spectacular honor-laden career. However, Irish Open seems to have evaded him & he is all charged to change the statistic.

The Irish Open prize fund this year will feature a 25% increase in comparison to what it was last year. (more…)
