    I think you have it right. He is trying to keep his hips stable and allow his arms to stay in front of him, and as you suggested keep his orientation to the ground constant. I think his tendency for early extention and the inevitale below plane issues is why his driver gives him fits. He is a great contrast to the bomb and gauge brigade.

  3. he is making sure that he shifts his weight to the left side before fully turning his hips so as to prevent spinning out and using his hands to square the club

  5. seems like luke is trying to stay in his posture. He’s one of the few tour pros who tends to stand up (only slightly) when he gets to impact and as a result his back foot seems to come off the ground earlier than most professionals…but honestly his swing is sick no matter what
