Luke Donald to play Irish Open

Luke Donald would be reportedly playing at Irish Open 2015. He and US Open champ Martin Kaymer are two latest top names to fill the Irish Open roster that is about to start come May.

Apart from Kaymer, Luke would be joined by Sergio Garcia, Rickie Fowler, Ernie Els & world # 1 Rory McIlroy in Royal County Down ground.

Rory’s charitable foundation would be hosting this event & the golf champ has coaxed some of the best golf stars to fight for the trophy. The Irish Open is dated to start on 28th of May and would conclude on 31st of the month. The notable participants of the event are Lee Westwood from America and Patrick Reed from America.

Besides, the field would include the major winners such as Darren Clarke, Graeme McDowell & Padraig Harrington. This year will mark the twenty fourth Irish Open for Clarke who has triumphed at a Major & a couple of WGC titles across his spectacular honor-laden career. However, Irish Open seems to have evaded him & he is all charged to change the statistic.

The Irish Open prize fund this year will feature a 25% increase in comparison to what it was last year.

Interestingly Ernie shared that he has agreed to participate in Irish Open 2015 as he is hopeful that his participation would be able to convince Rory to take part in South African Open next year.

“We have struck a small here between myself & Rory”, revealed Els.

Rory is not finished with his participants after bagging in Luke & Kaymer.

“We are looking to stay strategic with this”, stated championship director Antonia Beggs while informing about Rory’s ongoing quest for participants for Irish Open 2015. “It is not any one-off event & would be growing & growing with each passing year.
